About Us

History

The Central Coast Legal Centre is an independent, non-profit, community legal centre established in 1996 as a Justice Statement Centre providing legal support to disadvantaged people across the Central Coast of NSW in almost all legal matters.

The Centre is part of a National Association of Community Legal Centres committed to social justice and defending human rights. Community Legal Centres are funded by the Commonwealth Attorney General's Department.

Volunteers

The Centre has volunteers from both legal and non-legal backgrounds.

Volunteers undertake a range of jobs including:

  • Assisting with initial client inquiries
  • Administration duties
  • Assisting solicitors with research and support

Practical Legal Training

The Centre can accommodate students wishing to complete the work experience component of Practical Legal Training.
